Mona was one of the first people who greeted me as I walked through the door of Chelsea Arts & Tiles in New York, and we were fast friends from that point forward. In Missouri, after hearing this great poem from Mona I told here that it was time to write her manifesto, which she went and did. Me and my ex-wife moved to Florida after coming down to visit Mona in Palm Harbor, and being taken to Clewarwater. Me, Mona, and Wendy Giordano started up a spoken word evening from a hookah bar, and Mona really started to hone her craft as a spoekn word artist. She went on to win Creative Loafing's Spoken Word Artist of the Bay, and to get her Professorship at St Pete College, all the time working on her one woman shows, and creating some really great moving pieces of work, and running First Stop Poetry Night.
